While handing over the licenses to around 1200 franchises of Lahore, Islamabad and Multan regions for first phase of the project, Mr. Rehman Malik said that one of the top priorities of the present democratic government is to facilitate the masses using the latest technology. He promised that present democratic government would keep on bringing innovative ideas to serve the citizens of this country and to contribute towards the uplift of society.
While praising the efforts of NADRA towards the implementation of concept of e-governance he said that NADRA has emerged as one of the largest IT organization of country. He said that people had to wait in long queue for hours and hours earlier just to pay their utility bills but now NADRA has brought them the latest technological facilities at their disposal and they can pay their bills conveniently with dignity at the time of their choice using their CNICs. Mr. Rehman Malik further added that it's a great achievement that NADRA's projects are being implemented in different countries of the world.
While briefing about thee-Sahulat project, Chairman NADRA, Brig (R) Saleem Ahmed Moeen said that it wasthe remarkable popularity of Kiosk project and directions from the Advisor onInterior Mr. Rehman Malik which motivated NADRA to launch another vibrantproject e-Sahulat. The franchise of e-Sahulat is being offered to motivated andenergetic businesspersons on a prepaid basis. He said that so far 8million bills, worth Rs 6.7 billion have been submitted under NADRA's KIOSKproject, which is a testimony of public confidence in NADRA. news link
