GHOST Software - Step by Step

I am directed by Malik Muhammad Safdar sahib KiOSK iD 60649 to explain the procedure of ghost software.

For the convenience of my e-Sahulat franchisees brothers, I am attaching the GHOST software, although it is easily available in the market.

This is (DOS) windows 98 based software. First you have to install windows XP service pack-2 with all required software applications with generated machine iD and antivirus. Format a hard disk partition as FAT32 to use DOS.  Save this GHOST.exe software file in this formatted hard disk partition for example D: partition.

Insert windows 98 CD in CDROM drive and boot the system from the disk. Start the system with DOS (command prompt).

Choose the formatted partition d: and check the directory to confirm that the ghost software is saved in this partition.

Enter the word ghost e.g. d:\ghost or D:\GHOST.EXE

The ghost software will run.

Select the command “To Image” Or “from disk”.

Choose the location where .gho file will have to be saved.

The process will be started and all the data on C: drive will be copied to the .gho file.

When your windows will require to be installed through ghost software:

Enter your widows 98 into CDROM drive.

Boot the system with DOS command prompt.

Format the C: drive.

Enter the hard disk location where the ghost software is located e.g. drive D:\ghost or d:\ghost.exe

The ghost software will run.

Select the command “From Image” or “To Disk”

Choose the location where .gho file had been saved.

Select drive C: where the ghost image has to be copied.

The process will be started and all the data saved in .gho file will be copied to the hard disk drive C:
