The Pakistan Origin Card (POC) program endeavors to provide eligible Pakistanis/Blood relative living abroad with unprecedented incentives to get back to their roots, while ensuring that the motherland remains tightly integrated with expatriates worldwide.

Main features of the POC
The Pakistan Origin Card is blue in color, written in English and possesses thirteen digits registration number randomly generated by a computer system unique to every individual.

Required Documents for POC:
Complete POC Application Form.
2 X photographs with blue/white background (passport size).
Money order or cashier's check for the fee, valid for 7 years.
Copy of Foreign passport.
At least 1 proof of Pakistani origin
Copy of Pakistani passport.
Copy of National ID card (NIC / CNIC / NICOP).
Proof of property owned in Pakistan
Proof of relationship with a Pakistani along with the relative's Pakistani passport or NIC / CNIC / NICOP

The Fee for POC is US $100 and US $ 50 for adults and children respectively.

Q. Are there any charges for the application forms?

A. Application forms are absolutely free of cost and can be received from any of the prescribed places.

Q. Where can I get the application form for the POC?

A. You can obtain the application form from the Pakistan Embassy if you are residing abroad or any of the NADRA Swift Registration Centers (SRCs) if you are residing in Pakistan. You can also download it from the NADRA website.

Q. If case of rejected applications due to mistakes, what will happen to the paid fee?

A. You would be informed about the rejection of the application through a reply letter and your money would be returned to you after the deduction of the service charges.

Q. What is the fee for adults and children?

A. It is US $100 and US $50 for adults and children respectively.

Q. When do I need to renew the POC?

A. POC is renewable after every 7 years by NADRA.

Q. Is it advisable to travel through POC or through visa on foreign passport?

A. Traveling to your motherland through POC is a hassle-free journey every time, as you don’t require visa on your foreign passport any more. You also save time and money by not having to go to the embassy.

Q. If I’m a Kashmiri citizen, can I get a POC?

A. Yes, you can. You have all the privileges to apply and get a POC for yourself and your family.

Q. What support documents do I need to provide?

A. Copies of Pakistani passport and/or Pakistani NIC, if any, held by the applicant in the past. Copies of foreign passport. Copies of one additional Validly issued identification document bearing photograph of the applicant. (Driving license, university ID, etc.) Please note that the documents should be attested.

Q. I have a NICOP. Do I also need a POC?

A. You do not need a POC if you have a NICOP. Possession of NICOP means that you have dual nationality. The POC would be required if you had a single, non-Pakistani nationality.

Q. I have a POC. Do I also need a NICOP?

A. You are not eligible for a NICOP if you are a holder of a POC.

Q. Do I need a personal reference for the POC?

A. You need a reference from any of your Pakistani blood relatives who reside in Pakistan. Your relation to your relative should be verifiable through documentation such as your relative’s NIC.

Q. Will NADRA Swift Registration Center accept the POC fee?

A. No. The fee must be deposited in Askari Commercial Bank branches throughout Pakistan.

Q. Will Pakistan Embassy accept the POC fee?

A. Yes.

Q. Is urgent processing available?

A. No. There is no urgent processing available for any POC card.

Q. Where can I collect my POC card?

A. If you are in Pakistan, you can collect your card from your local NADRA Central Distribution Point (CDC). If you reside abroad, you can collect your card from the Pakistan Embassy.

Q. Can I collect my POC card from NADRA Headquarters?

A. No.

Q. What is the validity period of the POC card?

A. The validity of Pakistan Origin Card is seven years from the date of issuance
